DEIONIZATION (DEMINERALIZATION) OF WASTEWATER (EFFLUENTS)
The devices are designed to purify rinse water (wastewater) resulting in: chemical processing of metals in powder paint shops (after phosphating, etching, aluminum chromating etc.), rinsing of products after plating processes related with an acidic bath (zinc, copper, chromium, nickel, etc.) and alkaline (alkaline cyanide copperizing, brass plating, alkaline zinc plating, silver plating, etc.).
As a result of the contaminated water flow through the device the deionization process occurs
and the result is deionized water, which is recycled for re-use.
In the deionization process of a rinse water, the process is similar to the deionization (demineralization) of raw water.
As a result of applying the ion-exchange resins, a considerable reduction in the volume of wastewater is obtained, while the water resulted in the process of deionization provides excellent rinsing prior to further processing technology.
The advantage of this process is a significant reduction in water consumption, because the devices operate in a closed circuit.
Usage of the closed circuit water deionization technology prevents the transmission of environmentally harmful substances into the environment.
Concentrated eluates after regeneration can be further chemically processed aimed at precipitating hardly soluble sediment or deliver to the company dealing with neutralization and processing above-mentioned solutions. Eluates after regeneration may be condensated (reduced volume) on your own by using an evaporator, and steam condensate directed to the rinse water containers.
STRUCTURE:
The devices consist of two blocks which include ion-exchange columns: cation and anion exchange, filled respectively with ion exchange resins (cation and anion exchange). Each ion-exchange column has input and output entries in the top marked as IN and OUT and the venting valve.
In addition, the device includes: an operational valve system, AC filter, diaphragm pump type TPS-1 Tapflo, air pressure regulator, Grundfos circulation pump, pre-filter (5 microns), conductivity meter Hanna. These elements are placed in a steel frame and connected by the technical reinforced hose (11 bar, 19 mm - 32 mm).
The direction of water flow during operation (duty cycle) is as follows:
- first washer – circulation pump – pre-filter (20 microns) - AC filter - cation-exchange resin column K, - Anion-exchange resin column A, - conductivity meter – Second washer – First washer
